2021 Scholarship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2021 Omega Rho Omega Scholarship. Two high school seniors will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Eligible students must be a high school senior attending one of our partner schools (Charles City, Henrico, Highland Springs, New Kent, or Varina High School). Applicants must be planning to attend a 4-year, 2-year, or trade/technical college in the fall.

Select one of the three essay prompts, and answer in 500 words or less. 

1. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® continues to raise community awareness of critical health issues impacting African American women.  Describe a health issue that has impacted your family.  

2. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® focuses on education with an emphasis on historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).  Please explain why it is important to support HBCUs.

3. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® was founded with the purpose of being supreme in service to all mankind. Please tell us about a service project that you worked on and how it impacted you and the community.
